Peco Electrical has been providing Power, Control, and Integrated Solutions in multiple Industries including Oil and Gas, Light and Heavy Industrial, Pipeline and Petrochemical, Agricultural, Commercial and Renewable Energy for over 25 years. Peco Electrical also has a CSA Panel Manufacturing Department that specialize in PLC & VFD Integrations / Remote Access Panel / Power Distribution Panels. Peco Electrical has multiple Municipal projects in the Water Treatment sector and also some new Oil and Gas Integrations and Service projects currently on going. We have other projects starting up around Edmonton and in small Municipals around Alberta. Peco prides ourselves in being able to give our employees the opportunity to experience and learn many different facets when it comes to the electrical trade.
Peco is seeking self motivated, hard working, responsible Apprentice and Journeymen/women looking to expand their knowledge and experience with electrical control circuits, multiple voltage system, VFD integrations, PLC and MCC installations and also EV Charging systems. Some of our projects are located outside the city limits so travel maybe required on some projects.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Plan and install wiring systems in accordance with local electrical codes and blueprints.
* Interpret specifications to determine layouts of industrial/ commercial electrical equipment installations
* Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
* Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to meet current standards and requirements
* Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
* Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors
* Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
* Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial/ commercial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices
* Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
* May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
* Conduct regular inspections to identify potential electrical hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Recommend and implement safety improvements
Foreman must have 3 years experience with running commercial and light industrial projects. Good understanding on what is needed to get a project started and staying on top of productivity to make sure each project is completed on time and on budget. Material and time management is a major part in this role along with understanding the CEC.
