A reputed manufacturing company located in Brampton is currently hiring for an Licensed Electrician to join the team for morning shift. In order to be qualified for this opportunity, the ideal candidate must have knowledge about installing new electrical systems, troubleshooting and repairing existing equipment’s. Maintenance Electrician Duties and Responsibilities:
Install New Electrical Systems
Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls.
Troubleshoot Problems with Electrical Equipment
Be knowledgeable in troubleshooting problems with various types of equipment, such as PLC controls, pneumatic, hydraulic or robotic systems, and understand why equipment is not working properly.
Check switches, motors, regulators and other parts of an industrial electrical system.
Repair and Maintain Existing Equipment
Once a problem has been identified, you must use tools and replacement parts to make repairs to production and manufacturing machines.
Conduct regularly-scheduled maintenance on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis to keep machines running at the intended and to avoid any down-time due to break-downs or improper operations.
Maintain Repair and Maintenance Logs and Records
Create and manage reports pertaining to the repair and maintenance of industrial machines. This is crucial information for managers to know in the event that machines need to be upgraded or replaced, there is a record of ongoing issues or proof that machines have been properly maintained.
Maintenance Electrician Job requirements:
· Problem-solving, troubleshooting, analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
· A strong communicator and a team member who can work independently.
· Attention to detail, time management skills and organizational skills should also be displayed in this occupation.
· Be able to calibrate and maintain circuitry.
· Read and interpret wiring diagrams.
· Test equipment using a voltmeter, ohmmeter, amp meter and a megohmmeter.
· Be familiar with provincial and federal building electrical codes to ensure that systems are properly installed and maintained.

What you’ll bring
* An Ontario or Inter-Provincial (442A) Electrician Certificate of Qualification is required
* Completion of Apprenticeship as an Electrician with relevant work experience is preferred or 3 years of relevant work experience as a Licensed Electrician
