Design Researcher/ UX Researcher:
The ECO (Easy Checkout) team is looking for a Design Researcher/ UX researcher on the Amazon Dash Cart. Amazon Dash Cart is a smart shopping cart that makes a quick grocery trip even quicker by allowing you to skip the checkout line. Designed and custom-built at Amazon, the cart uses a combination of computer vision algorithms and sensor fusion to identify items put in it. When a shopper exits through the store’s Amazon Dash Cart lane, we automatically identify the cart and charge the payment method associated with the shopper's Amazon account. Key job responsibilities:

As a Design Researcher for Amazon Dash Carts, you will conduct research to drive the validation of designs and creation of insights that drive product decisions.
* Dig deep into core emotions that exists around shopping and store navigation, time management, entertaining, health, and day to day personal economics.
* Collaborate and share your learnings with design, software and product management partners.
* Gather insights on physical and digital CX as well as merchant, associate and fleet management tools and solutions
* Apply research methods appropriate to the questions at hand, from generative to evaluative, adapting methods as needed to align organization and product needs.
* Iteratively evaluate solutions until outcomes are achieved or hypotheses are proven wrong, informing and aligning on any trade-offs.
* Create customer experience tools and frameworks (archetypes, journey maps, knowledge management, etc.).
Basic Qualifications
*
Expertise in qualitative research methods
* Portfolio of past work experience and deliverables: demonstrating impact, including generative and evaluative research, and showing track record of managing and executing large research efforts from start to finish.
*
3-5 years of experience with the full range of research methods (qualitative and behavioral and attitudinal, with deep expertise in one or more areas) and activities (study design, test creation, moderation, analysis, reporting, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
*
Experience conducting and incorporating research for physical environments, omnichannel experiences and service design programs, including aspects of human factors.
* Experience conducting remote research, using tools such as usertesting.com and dScout.
* Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and flexibility.
* Passion for working in environments where navigating ambiguity is the norm.
* Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills to build trust across teams.
* Comfort with quantitative methods
* BA/BS or equivalent degree in psychology, cognitive science, human factors, HCI, HCD, etc.

Contract Length: 11 Months
Location: Boston (Hybrid)
Pay Range: $48 - $52 per hour
