Job Description
Ground Electrical Contractors is looking for a hard-working & dynamic 1st year electrician apprentice to join our team. Our electricians work on new residential, commercial, and renovation construction projects in Edmonton and the surrounding areas.
Qualified Candidates should:
* Have a positive attitude & willingness to learn
* Have a basic knowledge of electrical systems
Responsibilities include:
* Assisting in the journeyman electrician in installations for residential, and commercial electrical projects & service calls.
* Assisting in the installation of power distribution equipment, lights, switches, ballasts and related equipment
* Able to work with flexible and EMT conduit, including all cabling
* Ensuring job sites remain clean, organized, and safe.
* Keeping materials/tools organized in work vehicles and on-site
* Participate in site visits, safety meetings & project walkthroughs.
Skills & Experience
* 0-2 years or experience in residential and/or commercial electrical
* 1-year apprenticeship schooling is an asset
Job Requirements
* Must provide their own tools, including (but not limited to): basic hand tools, tool pouch, and cordless drill.
* Drivers Licence (minimum Class 5 GDL)
* This position requires working with stepladders, extension ladders, and scissors/boom lifts.
* Monday- Friday (occasional weekends)
