Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Industrial Electrician to work in a high-performance self-directed work team environment. This role requires an outgoing, versatile and energetic individual who has a keen sense for quality and urgency.
Reporting to Maintenance Supervisor the Industrial Electrician will assist in troubleshooting and maintaining all electrical, robotic and plant equipment.
This position is straight midnights. The hourly pay rate is $38.25 with a $0.50 shift premium.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
* Repair, maintain and install electrical components, wiring and electrical equipment
* Locate and determine reasons for electrical failures and carry out necessary repairs in just in time (JIT) environment
* Ensure all electrical parts, wiring and equipment conform to electrical code requirements and are operating in a safe and efficient manner
* Maintain and troubleshoot robotic cells, conveyor systems, automated equipment
* Perform preventative electrical maintenance procedures as required
* Conduct electrical tests and maintain maintenance and repair records as required
* Test and repair electronic components and equipment
* Other duties that may be assigned
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
* Red Seal for Industrial Electrician Certificate Trade Code 442A
* High school diploma
* 3 to 5+ years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician
* Robotics and PLCs experience
* Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience with robot troubleshooting and programming
* Ability to troubleshoot and program Allen Bradley PLCs using RS Logix 500 & 5000
* Ability to troubleshoot and repair Ethernet/IP systems
* Ability to read, interpret and update blueprints
* Well versed in the operation and interaction of robots (primarily Fanuc & UR (Universal Robots)) within cell structure and their component processes including pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and electronic
* In the habit of working in a busy and complex environment, staying calm under pressure
* Excellent command of the English language, verbal and written
* Must be available to work rotating shifts between days and afternoons plus daily and weekend overtime
* Previous experience in a JIT work environment preferred
