YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Electrical System Superintendent, you will be part of the Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
* Complying with all safety policies, procedures and regulations;
* Leading and coaching team members in the achievement of maintenance safety and productivity targets;
* Modification, maintaining and troubleshooting power distribution electrical systems including:
* o 13.8kV & 25kV Overhead power line;
o Secondary power distributions;
o Pit Mine substations (fix and movable);
o Main 230kV substation;
o 13.8kV and 4.16kV switchgear;
o Backup generator (1 to 4MW);
o Movable backup generator for dewatering;
o Dewatering pumps;
o Fiber infrastructure;
* Installation and commissioning of new electrical systems while ensuring minimum impact to operation processes including:
* o Overhead power line, pole mount transformer, loadbreak switch , Fiber lashing;
o Power distribution for dewatering equipment;
o Cable installation and grounding (Teck, Multiconductor, Telecom Cat5E, Fiber);
o Equipment (MCC, PLC, Instrumentation, ABB drives, Benshaw softstarts);
o Capital Projects Group with various site projects;
o Fiber fusion;
* Manage workflow screening, assisting with prioritizing, coordinating, planning and scheduling of task workload;
* Read specifications and drawings such as blueprints to determine a construction method;
* Assisting in the preparation of cost forecasts, budgets and monthly reports;
* Developing and implementing standards and procedures that meet all statutory and regulatory requirements;
* Ensure electrical code rules are followed;
* Ensure quality of work and proper commissioning;
* Oversee and provide expertise for all electrical activities related to the site and dewatering infrastructure.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
* Ontario provincial or inter-provincial (Red Seal) Electrical trade certificate;
* Minimum of 4 years practical work experience within the mining sector and construction;
* 5 years’ supervisory experience;
* Experience working at a remote work site is considered an asset;
* Experience working in SAP or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS);
* Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
YOUR WORK SCHEDULE:
* Schedule: 7/7 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
* Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
