Job Overview:
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to drive growth and reduce costs through expert forecasting and inventory planning. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor inventory levels, forecast product needs, and ensure timely purchasing from various vendors. You'll also lead projects, analyze sales trends, and conduct product cost analyses.
Duties:
* Inventory & Maintenance: Forecasting, monitoring and maintaining inventory levels based on current inventory, sales trends, external factors, and other promotional activity. These responsibilities are for all suppliers and all brands.
* FBA Inventory Management: Ensure that Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) inventory levels are maintained for specified products and vendors.
* Purchase Order Generation: Collaborate with supply chain operations staff to generate purchase orders to maintain stock at our warehouse and Amazon warehouse facilities.
* Vendor Lead Time Management: Adjust and adapt vendor lead times based on actual performance and feedback. Hold vendors accountable to agreed lead times.
* FBA Team Oversight: Generate FBA demand and oversee the execution team, monitoring their performance. Create efficiencies in FBA processes through tool, system, and people optimization. Implement more efficient planning and execution methods.
* Vendor Relationship Management: Manage critical vendor relationships both strategically and tactically to ensure ongoing performance. Develop and enforce SOPs for vendors and manufacturers regarding labeling and inventory preparation.
* Sales Trend Analysis: Analyze sales trends across various vendors and product lines, providing solutions and recommendations.
* Cost Analysis and Reduction: Analyze costs for all controllable cost centers and drive cost reduction activities across the company for consumables and indirect products (e.g., corrugated materials).
* Strategic Project Leadership: Lead and execute strategic business projects focused on supply chain topics, including purchasing, planning, forecasting, and FBA. Example projects may include ERP system replacement and EDI implementation.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Information Technology and or the sciences.
* 2-4 years of related experience and/or training; proven experience in inventory planning and management
* Proficiency in data visualization tools and software
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
* Financial acumen for conducting cost analysis
