JOB OVERVIEW:
As an Apprentice Electrician for Fox Electric Canada, you will play a crucial role in construction projects, ensuring the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems in various buildings and facilities. You will collaborate with construction teams to bring projects to completion on time and within budget. Your experience in electrical installations, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety regulations will contribute to the success of our client’s construction ventures.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:
* Install, inspect, and repair electrical systems in mostly commercial & industrial settings
* Collaborate with team members to plan and execute electrical projects within set deadlines
* Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations
* Safely operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment.
* Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
* Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors
* Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment
* Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels
* Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits
* Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement, or repair
* Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components
* Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices and heating and cooling systems
* Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
* Valid Electrician license/certification (1st year Apprentice)
* Current WHMIS, Fall Protection & Aerial Work Platform certification
* Knowledge of conduit fabrication, electrical wiring, and installations
* Understand and interpret basic technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
* Good problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach
* Dedication to safety protocols and adherence to best practices
* Must have at least 1 year of construction experience

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
