Electrical Panel Builder
416 Automation Inc requires an outstanding, skilled Electrical Panel Builder to build and assemble electrical control panels for light to medium duty Automated Testing Cells/Machines and robotic type automated equipment in our assembly department. The ideal candidate must have 4-5 years experience with electro-mechanical/automated machinery or related equipment, OR a recent graduate of a related post-secondary program (Electrical technician, Electro-Mechanical technician, etc.)

What can I expect to do in this role?
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, as the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for performing detailed assembly using standard shop procedures and tools. Work involves working with a small team of 3-4 assemblers in a fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and precision is a must!
This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday 8:00-4:30) with occasional overtime as needed. You must be flexible with working overtime.

Some of the responsibilities…
* Interpret electrical schematics
* Modify electrical enclosures to specification
* Wire electrical Power distribution and control circuits, as well as On-Machine wire routing and termination
* Machine power-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting
* Support other team members (Team lead, software, electronic, electrical, and mechanical teams)
* Operate standard electrical assembly tools, and basic shop equipment
* Communicate with engineering staff regarding build issues and timelines
* Must have own basic toolset
* Must be able to handle physical requirements of the job (continuous standing, occasional lifting of 10-50 pounds)
Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements
* At least 4-5 years of experience in the assembly of automated equipment, and electrical panel building, OR a recent graduate of a related post-secondary diploma (Electrical technician, Electro-Mechanical technician, Industrial automation, etc.)
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications
* Familiarity with standard electrical assembly practices
* Exceptional communication (written & verbal in the English language) and interpersonal skills
