Electrical Mechanical Assembler: Job Description: eCAMION Inc. is a Toronto-based all-in-one solution provider of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Electric Vehicle Fast Charging (EVFC). You will be working in high-performing fast-paced team, reporting directly to the operations manager. Responsibilities: * Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies * Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructions * Position or align components and parts, either manually or with hoists * Use hand tools, power tools, or machines to assemble parts * Insulate containers and cabinets * Conduct quality control checks * Comply with and assist with the development of safety protocols * Clean and maintain work areas and equipment including tools * Prepare work to be accomplished by studying part lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials * Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements * Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies * Verify specifications by measuring completed components * Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources * Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs * Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations * Maintain inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing, and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies * Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results * Document actions by completing production and quality forms * Other duties as assigned Requirements and skills: * 3 years of experience as an electrical/mechanical assembler * Exceptional understanding and ability to interpret technical documents such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints or other instructions * Solid understanding of all operating procedures * Able to use multimeter * Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.) * Good hand-eye coordination * Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus * Communication and teamwork skills * Commitment to safety rules * Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
