Quality Engineering Specialist (Electrical/Electronic preferred)

About The Quality Engineering Specialist:*
Are you an experienced Quality Engineering Specialist looking to make a significant impact on quality, efficiency, and productivity? Are you passionate about generating strategic plans and implementing solutions to enhance product and process quality? Do you thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment where you can analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives?
As a Quality Engineering Specialist, you will ensure the quality and reliability of the products. You will work closely with the Quality team and other departments to implement quality standards, conduct tests, and analyze data to identify the areas of improvement.
The ideal candidate should have attention to detail to ensure that products meet the desired quality standards. Good at problem solving and critical thinking so one can investigate to identify root cause and corrective or preventive actions for sustaining quality standards. Well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.

What you will be doing in the role:*
* Participating in the development and implementation of quality management systems
* Investigating and resolving supplier audits, selections, quality issues, including non-conforming materials and corrective actions.
* Providing root cause analysis and implementing preventive actions to eliminate recurring quality issues.
* Collaborating with project management, design, and production teams to address QMS issues and implement corrective actions.
* Assisting in the documentation and maintenance of QMS procedures.
* Analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
* Supporting internal and external audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Providing training programs for QMS.
* Participating in cross-functional teams to support new product introductions.
* Communication between internal departments and suppliers to address quality concerns.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
* Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.

What you will bring to the role:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in quality engineering or mechanical engineering field
* Knowledge of quality management systems and tools preferred (ISO-9001, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing etc.)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
* A clear background check for criminal and/or credit is required

This position works out of our Mississauga, Ontario location. Hours are typically 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.*
