Position Description:
Currently, Tetranex is seeking a full-time Junior Electrical Technologist.
Responsibilities:
* Drafting and design of drawings including, but not limited to: single line diagrams, low/medium voltage power schematics, electrical layouts, cable schedules, panel layouts, loop drawings, EHT ISO’s, wiring diagrams, etc.
* Support of senior team resources in the development of design calculations and studies including, but not limited to: equipment & cable sizing, lighting, heat trace, voltage drop, cable tray fill, etc.
* 3D modelling support.
* Communication and coordination with team members as required.
* Requirements:
* Degree or Diploma in Electrical Design from a recognized technical institute or comparable industry experience.
* Related work experience an asset.
* Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
* 3D CAD and NavisWorks experience an asset.
* Understanding of electrical design, including: electrical symbols, wiring schematics, cable schedules, lighting.
* Basic understanding of Canadian Electrical Code.
* Bluebeam Revu experience an asset.
* SmartPlant experience an asset
* Ability to work independently and in team environments.
* Strong work ethic.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with others.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
