Maintenance Technician
Overview
Working alongside the property manager, the maintenance technician is responsible for the completion of work orders, renovations and general maintenance of our Northern Ontario properties. They are accountable for related resources, contracts, tools, etc. to ensure the properties are efficiently maintained to company standards and within established budgets.
Responsibilities
* Complete minor maintenance and work order repairs.
* Light renovations of units including, flooring, painting, tiling etc
* Routine inspections of building interior and exterior
* Assist in the management and overseeing of work completed by 3rd party contractors
* Maintain good tenant relationships
* Maintain building common areas to a quality standard.
* Assisting the property manager with unit showings from time to time
Requirements
* Ability to problem-solve effectively.
* Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
* Experience in drywall repairs and paint touch ups required.
* Minor plumbing experience required.
* Minor electrical experience required.
* Minor carpentry experience required.
* Good physical condition (able to lift 50lbs).
* Proficient problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Knowledge of mechanical systems an asset
* Valid G license required
* Minimum 2 years related work experience required.
* The successful candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. You will be comfortable with technology and be able to respond to changing priorities in a positive manner. You are a team player.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
