Job Description
Trudere Logistics Corp is seeking full-time and part-time drivers with a minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience. CDL License is NOT required!!! Examples of commercial driving include (Local Drivers, Route Drivers, Truck Drivers, Couriers, Pick Up Drivers, Delivery drivers, FedEx, UPS, Amazon, DHL, Wal-Mart, Uber, or Lyft).
Drivers will be operating out of the Ladson FedEx Ground terminal located at 6850 Weber Blvd, Ladson, SC 29456 and will be making deliveries to local residences and businesses in the Goose Creek area. Our drivers will be operating P1000 and P1200 step van style trucks provided by the employer.
VERY FAST PACED JOB. You must be active, fast and fit. Interaction with customers daily requires professional demeanor.
* Route is in the Goose Creek, SC Area
* Home Terminal is in Ladson, SC
* Start Pay: $130-$170 per day based on experience!
* Work Hours: 8am-until delivery completion
* Full-time drivers must work at least 1 weekend day as part of their full time schedule.
* Part time drivers needed for weekends as well.
* Earned paid time off is available.
Job Criteria: THESE CRITERIA ARE AN ABSOLUTE MUST. FedEx will not allow applicants who do not pass the following Criteria.
* MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF VERIFIABLE COMMERCIAL DRIVING EXPERIENCE within the past 3 years OR 5 years of experience within the past 10 years (Military, driving for a company in a truck, van, etc. Experience does NOT require 40 hour workweek, CDL or OTR.)
* 21 years or older
* NO TICKETS for reckless/aggressive driving (with 80+ mph, exceeding the posted speed limit by 15 mph or more), rollover accident, DWI/DUI, out-of-service violation, suspension of license in last 60 months. *
* NO MORE THAN 2 moving violations in last 36 months
* Must be able to pass 10 year background check. NO felony conviction of any kind.
* Drug test will be required free of charge.
* DOT physical is required for employment and is free to the applicant.
Delivery Driver Responsibilities:
* Practice safe driving techniques
* Arrive at FedEx terminal to pick up vehicle and packages
* Load and Unload packages from truck
* Deliver packages to destination
* Scan and Log Packages
* Accurately delivering 160-175 stops per day on average
* Handle packages up to 150 lbs. with a dolly
Knowledge of area helpful but not necessary. We train new hires to ensure success!
