The Amazon MGM Studios Consumer Insights team at Amazon Studios in Culver City, California is looking for Principal of Consumer Insights to oversee audience research, content testing, and market analysis across Movies and TV Series.
The ideal candidate will have led high impact research initiatives, have management experience, and come with 7+ years of work experience in the market research field.
This position will be responsible for driving strategic research initiatives across Creative Development, Strategy, Content Acquisition, Scheduling, Ad Sales, and Data Science teams in the US, UK, Germany, and a slew of other international markets slated to roll out in the coming years.
The candidate will have prior experience managing quantitative and qualitative research studies end to end with a keen sense of how to use primary, secondary, and big data analytics to make business decisions.
The successful candidate will also have the ability to operate at all levels and take the reins on project work when necessary, from owning individual projects, writing reports, to the presentation of insights and recommendations.
Primary Responsibilities
* Represent the voice of the customer at every meeting
* Define consumer insights initiatives that lead to a deeper understanding of the Amazon MGM Studios Customer and overall digital streaming population
• Drive research projects through the lifecycle of a series/movie to help create ambitious and compelling content • Identify high impact inputs that influence the creative direction of Amazon MGM Studios Originals and how they are marketed
• Translate complex data sets into clear and compelling written narratives for Amazon MGM Studios and Amazon Studios Leadership Executives • Dive-deep into customers' behavioral and psychographic profiles (including audience segmentation)
* Develop standardized and refillable reporting mechanisms for US and international internal stakeholders.
* Drive the development and adoption of prediction models alongside Data Science and Strategy teams
* Work closely with Marketing teams to help position our content for success
* Work with Legal to negotiate vendor contracts
* Understand the individual needs of various internal stakeholders in order to streamline the reporting and data sharing with each group.
Location: Culver City CA, or New York (Hybrid) (Open to Remote)
Pay Range $63- $70 per Hour
Contract Length: 9 Months
