Job Description
We are seeking a skilled electrical & instrumentation purchaser to join our team, mentor under our current Sr. Purchaser in Edmonton, Alberta with the end goal of filling the Purchasing position for our USA operations.
The position will require the successful candidate to:
* Create quote spreadsheets in Excel
* Manage purchase orders from the point of creation through to receiving
* Order industrial electrical, instrumentation and automation material
* Adjust purchasing strategies based on material availability
* Manage inventory stock levels
* Support project estimating
* Perform occasional pick-ups and deliveries
* Shipping & Receiving
* Other various warehouse duties
Individuals that apply should have:
* Experience with electrical, instrumentation and automation parts and materials
* Strong organizational skills; good communication, strong attention to detail, excellent time management, diligent electronic file management skills
* Ability to collaborate and work in a strong team environment
* Strong Microsoft Office software experience, specifically Excel and Word
* Valid drivers license with a clean abstract
* Physical capability of lifting/carrying up to 50lbs
* Ability to pass background check and pre employment testing
Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of electrical & instrumentation parts, products, functionality and relevant manufactures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
