The Electrical Panel Wiring Assembler is responsible for assembling and wiring electrical and control panels in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentations and user manual for the installation and wiring of equipment. The candidate for this job should also be able to test, troubleshoot, and correct any installation error and wiring mismatch or faults that may arise. The job also requires properly marking up the drawings based on final assembly to serve as reference for issuing as-built drawings and documentation. This is an onsite full-time position and the schedule may include overtime as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
* Layout and assemble electrical control panels according to specifications
* Wire electrical components and equipment in accordance with established procedures and vendor installation manual
* Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults and make necessary repairs
* Test assembled panels for proper function and quality assurance
* Maintain and document accurate records of work performed
* Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for safety, quality, and environmental regulations
* Provide input for process improvements and participate in continuous improvement efforts
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure project timelines and milestones are met
* Follow established workplace policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety
* Other duties as required
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
* High School diploma or equivalent
* 3+ years' experience in electrical assembly and wiring, with good track record of experience and familiarity with North American industry
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents, equipment installation manual, blueprints, and schematics
* Knowledge of electrical components and equipment
* Ability to use tools, equipment, and testing devices required for the job
* Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Understanding of industry standards for safety, quality, and environmental regulations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to stand or sit for long periods
* Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
* Ability to work in a variety of positions and spaces, including confined areas
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour
