ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Development Specialist. The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for lead generation, sales, market research, and communication. Day-to-day tasks may include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining customer relationships, analysing market trends, and providing exceptional account management. The role is based in Sydney, NSW, with flexibility for remote work.
Responsibilities:Identify and research potential clients and business opportunitiesDevelop and execute effective business development strategiesBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationshipsConduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunitiesCollaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and objectivesPrepare and deliver compelling software demos, presentations and proposals to potential clientsNegotiate and close deals to achieve sales targetsTrack and report on business development activities and resultsStay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape
Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving abilitiesExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quicklyProficient in using various CRM software systemsAbility to multitask and prioritise tasks effectivelyDetail-oriented with excellent organisational skillsFamiliarity with SaaS industry
ABOUT YOUAssociate degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field (e.g., Business Administration).Proven experience working in a similar role where excellent sales performance was provided consistently.Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Familiarity with CRM softwares (Zendesk, Hubspot, etc).Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines efficiently.Flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands and business requirements.
Previous experience working in the supply chain / logistics sector will be considered a plus.
