Full-Time - for 12 weeks Maternity Leave coverage About Vinnies: On the frontline and face-to-face, the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria and its wide network of over 12,000 volunteers provide practical welfare support, advocacy and friendship for the most vulnerable members of our community. Key services include Vinnies Shops; Vinnies Soup Vans; support programs for people experiencing mental illness; home visitation; youth programs; assistance for asylum seekers and refugees; education and tutoring; and a range of other volunteer-run initiatives that assist people in need. Through these programs, we offer 'a hand up' to people in need by respecting their dignity, sharing our hope and encouraging them to take control of their destiny. Driven by this mission, the Society is one of the most recognised and highly regarded charitable organisations that has been providing support to Victorians for 160 years. About the Role: In this position, you will be a part of our eBay Support team as you will be assisting in the maintenance and running of our booming Vinnies eBay store! You will be responsible for sorting and listing various donated items on our eBay inventory and setting up them for sale. You can add your own creative flourish as you photograph the donations and create the descriptions that draw our potential buyers to the site. You will be carefully selecting the various donated goods that Vinnies Victoria receives on a regular basis and helping them go to into another home. In addition to contributing to this sustainable movement, you will also be assisting in raising funds that go directly back into our Vinnies programs that help vulnerable Victorians get back on their feet. About You: You are a flexible and positive worker who enjoys hands-on-work and can tackle any job with enthusiasm! You have experience working in retail and understand the importance of excellent customer service. With a bit of a creative flair, you understand effective stock merchandising – particularly on online platforms – and can write accurate descriptions that will draw in customers to the fantastic products Vinnies has to offer.
