We are a contemporary style 4.5 star comfort hotel conveniently located in the very heart of Melbourne on fashionable Collins Street close to the Town Hall, Federation Square and retail and theatre districts. Featuring 380 guest rooms and suites, bar and restaurant, swimming pool and gym with 8 flexible conference & function venues feature state-of-the-art, conference technology. The ballroom accommodates events of up to 400 delegates in a theatre-style setup or 230 guests for banquets.
Job Description
Providing food and beverage service to guests in our restaurants, bar and conference spaces Explaining the menu to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences Maximising sales opportunities with recommendations and suggestionsCommunicating with other departments to ensure the highest level of guest service is maintainedMaintaining clean and safe work spaces and guest areas and ensuring food safety requirements are followed
Qualifications
Great communication skills & presentation and confidence to engage with guestsA genuine interest in food and beverage as well as in our local Melbourne areaDemonstrated ability to work as part of a teamExperience in food and beverage is preferable, but a passion for providing great service is what will really make you stand outBar experience will be a plus
