The Opportunity:
We are looking for a full-time or part-time Research and Administration Assistant to join our Occupational and Dust Disease Department - Oakleigh Head Office.
You will provide crucial administrative support, undertake research, prepare and maintain databases and registers and assist in the functioning of the Occupational and Dust Disease Department.
Key Responsibilities include:
Collate responses to client questionnaires and maintain database registers, in relation to occupational and dust disease clients and matters.Occasional client contact to request and collate information.Scan and sort documents, as well as extract documents from bundles, and name and file these under correct classifications.Undertake FOI requests, send and follow-up for occupational and dust disease questionnaires and compile briefs.Undertake and supply the legal team with appropriate legal and/or scientific research, past cases.Help build and maintain the Occupational and Dust Disease Department library of resources and list of contacts.Maintain confidentiality and ensure work is completed to a high standard.Follow instructions of direct supervisor.
The Successful Applicant:
Confident administrative and research skills. Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail.Proactive attitude and capable of operating autonomously.Confident working in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills and an ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.Demonstrated skills in producing quality documents and maintenance of records, databases, registers and contact lists.Intermediate to proficient skills with Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel.Exceptional skills in time management and prioritisation.An interest in the legal profession and/or occupational diseases with a willingness to learn.Demonstrates the capacity to manage sensitive client matters with care and resilience.
