OIF Ventures is hiring for a Software Engineer Intern to help digitise our operations to back the best founders in Australia.
In this role, you will be:💻 Maintaining and writing code that leverage multiple public data pools to find changes and insights around early-stage companies.🌟 Develop innovative technologies using modern AI tools, such as GPT and Vector Databases, for the enhancement of knowledge sharing and information management.📣 Communicating and documenting your findings with the rest of the investment team, iterating on their feedback to improve your methodologies. We would love to hear from you if you have:(Currently studying/have studied) bachelor's degree in computer science, or a similar field, or equivalent work experienceExperience with advanced skills in PythonKnowledge of REST API interactionFamiliarity with Jupyter NotebooksProficiency in Object-Oriented ProgrammingStrong organisational skills in designing and structuring a database for reliability
It is not required, but will be a bonus if you have:Knowledge of SQL and Vector Databases is a significant plusExperience in creating, managing, and maintaining a websiteExperience creating and managing AWS services, including Lambda and EC2Relevant interest in Venture Capital and start-ups
This role is a unique opportunity to lead the adoption of data-driven processes in a high performing organisation.On day 1, you will learn about how we use data in early-stage venture capital.
